Certain covenants and design guidelines must be complied with when building on your section. These covenants and guidelines are in some respects more restrictive than the Medium Density Residential Standards set out in Schedule 3A of the Resource Management (Enabling Housing Supply and Other Matters) Amendment Act 2021 (MDRS).
The MDRS does not override the requirements of the covenants and guidelines which continue to apply, except for specific areas which may be nominated by the developer. Please see the Land Covenants and Design Guidelines for further information and ensure you seek advice as to what building is allowed.

Design approval must be gained from Ravenswood Developments Ltd, the developer of Ravenswood, prior to applying for your building consent to the Waimakariri District Council. A bond of $2,000 is payable to Ravenswood Developments Ltd when design approvals are submitted. This is in case there is any damage to the road or footpath during construction.
