Back in 2007 the Managing Director of Ravenswood Developments Ltd (Bob Robertson) had a vision for a 150 hectare piece of rural land 25kms north of Christchurch, which alot of nay-sayers thought was just too far out of town to be of any success.
Holding strong to his plan for a flourishing community, Bob forged ahead.
After Bob’s passing a few years later, the team at Ravenwood Development continued with their own ambitious vision for Ravenswood along with an active town centre grounding Ravenswood within North Canterbury.
As predicted, Christchurch soon turned its infrastructure northwards and made North Canterbury more connected with two new roading networks providing increased accessibility.
It wasn’t long before some big national brands saw the potential in bringing their business to Ravenswood and there was soon a BP, McDonald’s and New World built.
Ravenswood subdivision is made up of over 1,500 sections and Ravenswood Central is 20 hectares of mixed business use.
